Hi all -
Any advice would be appreciated!
I have read a lot of the posts on here - and i am keen to try SJW..
The only thing I am worried about is the *possible* sun-sensitivity effect?
although i dont understand much about it??
I am from a sunny country and even though i am in london, will return at some stage--
Has anyone had any increased effects towards bright light or sun in summer??
Many thanks! deee

I did experience increased sun sensitivity while on SJW -- I am in a very sunny area and spend a lot of time outdoors with my kids and the increased sensitivity both of skin and eyes was noticable. Different folks may have different experiences. For me the side effects of SJW -- sun sensitivity, headache, chest tightness, were worse than the SSRIs I've been on.

Wicked, thanks guys - I do spend a bit of time lazing in the sun in summer, but if you were in california working in the sun then im sure it will be fine,
and you are right SSRIs are known to give crazy side affects ..
thanks in advance!

Hi - I just asked that very question a couple of days ago when I went to our local health store, because I thought with summer just around the corner, I wanted to know should I keep out of the sun. The lady said not to worry. She said the companies are mainly referring to people who go to suntanning places, and are sun worshipers and spent hours in the sun getting tans , but for the average person, there is nothing to worry about. I hope this helps. Lenore

Hi, I live in sunny California and I never had problems with photosensitivity while I was on SJW even though I was working in the sun during those months. I heard that some people experience that but it's such a minor side effect...I don't think it's something that you should be worried about or that should stop you from taking SJW. People put up with a lot of NASTY side effects while taking SSRI's to get the same effect that you can get from SJW, photosensitivity is the last thing you should be worried about.
