Kelly,
I am pretty skilled in computers, and would like to gain some experience with forums and the like. If you need someone to help upgrade this forum, let me know, I would like to do it for free for you.
I think it would be an interesting project to tackle.

Hi Soar,
The trick isn't with the upgrade itself, it's with taking the current message board and converting the messages to whatever format the new board will require.
Currently the messages are stored within flat files in messy HTML format. If you can help me with scripting (probably Perl, Bash, or similar scripting) and simple reg expressions to strip out everything except the raw messages, I can write an import script to get the data into the SQL database! Your help would be greatly appreciated!
