No half-life doesn't work like that. Half-life is the amount of time to get one-half [1/2] of it used up, or out of your system. In the next half-life (18 hours from the first dose) one-half of the one-half that was left over from the initial dose is used up. That is after 18 hours you'd have one-quarter of the origional dose left in your system. And after another 9 hours (27 hours total) you'd have one-eight of the origional dose in your system. Half-life has got to be one of the most counterintuative things in existance.
The question is how much do you need in your system to get the desired result? Does the effect wear off for you, not when you are empty but, when you are only 2/3 full?
Do you take your dose all at once? If so when? If you currently spread it out during the day perhaps you could try taking a little extra at night? Search Kelly's info on "recommended dosage" at the left side of this site, he has a section on "when should I take it."
This is not my area of expertise and everybody is different. I suggest you experiment and report back to us what works.
