Hi I'm new to this. I've just found out my cousin is clinical depressed and is on prozac. I'm not sure what kind or how much she's on. I know of other treatments she can take for depression but need to know if she stopped taken prozac cold turkey will she be ok? She has only been on it for around 3 weeks.

Please Help

Even though she has only been on Prozac for 3 weeks, I would advise ramping down the doseage over at least a couple of weeks prior to coming off. Going 'cold turkey' on anti-depressants is defintely not a good idea.

Are you sure that Prozac is the wrong treatment for your cousin?
It may be worth her continuing with it for another three or four weeks before junking it and trying something else.

If she does decide to use a herbal, non-presciption alternative, then Kelly's SJW pages and the associated message board contain a lot of useful information.
