brain fog and depression

#1
i know i have posted similiar thread somewhere in this forum.... i have to know if i were to cure my depression,

would i need to resolve my brain fog problem first or do i have to lessen my symptoms of depression instead :frown2:

And i do know that brain fog is related to being depressed. Anyone got a good advice?

By the way, many thanks to sheephead for suggested this wonderful website http://www.iherb.com

L-theanine is said to promote feelings of clarity and 5htp has done wonders for me when I was so depressed I would cry at the drop of a hat.

Also check out cranial electro stimulation or CES, restores neurotransmitters to healthy state after a few weeks of use, sometimes it takes a bit longer. I use something called the Sota Bio Tuner BT7 CES device. A little pricey but it beats being depressed. Comes with ear clips and you wear it twenty min/day.

Hmm... never heard of this "CES" before. Mind sharing your experience with it?

$395 dollar for the device is way beyond my budget, nonetheless i wish to know has it done wonders to you in overcoming depression?

maybe i'll try it as a last resort when nothing else works. I'm just a little bit skeptical about the device and their studies of curing people by hearing sound waves

it just sounds a little too good to be true.

Why are you posting Iherb.com links? Are you their sales rep?

Hi Maddog,

I post the links so people can find it easily. It takes the effort having to search for the lowest price since I find Iherb to be the lowest and they usually have free shipping for over $40. That's about as good as it gets. No I'm not a rep for them, I like there prices so I share it with others. Just trying to be helpful.

Padelno, as for the CES device it works by micro current through the electrodes which attach to the ears. Sort of like electro-acupunture as the ear point itself is used to reduce feelings of worry, fear, sadness, depression, and anxiety. I find it relaxes me when I use it, for me it reduced my anxiety a lot. But many people have had great experiences using it for depression The 5htp is the biggest bang for the buck as far as I'm concerned and worked for me the same day I used it. CES takes longer to reap the benefits. There is some good research out there for CES: https://www.google.com/search?q=cra...&sugexp=chrome,mod=2&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Peace
Steve

PS The CES device I use costs $225 at braintuner.com There may be less expensive CES devices out there but I haven't found one that costs less than this one.
